Research at the CP2M

Research at the CP2M laboratory covers a wide range of topics important to the production and transformation of molecules of different origins into useful products, using expertise and tools from different disciplines, including chemistry, catalysts, chemical engineering, polymers and polymerisation, colloidal and interfacial science, and material science.

Our main aim is to develop and then apply highly innovative concepts to make original research contributions to the fields mentioned above, and to explore the relationship between a chemistry of interest and the process used to exploit it. This is accomplished through a combination of fundamental experimental work, and modelling studies at both the molecular and process scales. The ultimate objective of our research work is to provide immediate and long-term solutions to the needs of our partners in the public and private sectors, and of society as a whole.

As shown in the picture below, the CP2M laboratory is organized in the form of 2 teams: Polymers, Catalysis, Materials (PCM); and MMAGICC (Molécules, Matériaux Avancés, Génie des procédés, Catalysis & Coordination). These teams have identified 3 principle shared actions as targets for collaborative research.
